We are on the brink of a historic improvement in our public schools here in Hamilton County. For the next 12 days the county commission will be debating whether or not to adopt Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson's budget proposal. The budget proposal boosts funding for special education, it includes teacher raises to make Hamilton County competitive with surrounding communities, it provides opportunities for every student to earn five courses toward a diploma or certificate, and many other key investments in for our public schools.
