![]() Rileigh is our new Student Engagement Assistant Director & Community Organizer at UnifiEd! We are pleased to welcome Rileigh to the team and we hope you'll join us to extend a warm welcome (their new email is rileigh@unifi-ed.org)! We also want to share a little information about Rileigh's background and experience, and the journey that led them to working at UnifiEd. Raised in Chattanooga by two secondary school teachers, Rileigh Arrington graduated from Baylor School and went on to Hamilton College for their undergraduate studies in political science. In 2019, Rileigh was employed by the Chambliss Center for Children as a summer preschool teacher. This position provided a unique insight into the lives and struggles of children in disadvantaged households, and this experience has driven Rileigh’s career ever since. During their time at Hamilton, Rileigh completed several internships for various campaigns and nonprofits including the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute in Washington D.C., the Pete Buttigieg for America Presidential Campaign, and Brindisi for Congress NY-22 Campaign. Rileigh is a first-year graduate student in the UTC Criminal Justice program, and they hope to use their degree to advocate for those who do not have the means to advocate for themselves. When asked what they wanted to share with the UnifiEd community in this announcement, Rileigh said, I am very excited to be joining the UnifiEd team and cannot wait to work to improve the standard of public education in our city.” 🏫 School Board Enthusiasts 🏫 |
